Diagnostic Evaluation
An entire life cannot be reduced to a
60-90minute intake. That is why Dr. M ensures his initial interviews are focussed and thorough - aimed at tackling the questions for which you are seeking guidance.
His goal is to work together -- coming up with a game plan that fits your needs and values.
Why see Dr. M?
Medication Management
Though Dr. M takes a therapeutic and holistic approach to mental health treatment, there are many incidences where psychotropic medications are needed in the alleviation of symptoms.

His formal training in psychopharmacology and credentialing as a prescriber will ideally aid in your work together -- an additional tool for improving your quality of life.
Psychotherapy
Therapy is an invaluable form of mental health care, used to help individuals deepen their understanding of themselves and feel more in the driver's seat of their lives.

Dr. M holds its importance in high regard -- tailoring his education and practice towards enhancing the application of this treatment modality.

Meet "Dr. M"
I grew up in "Wild and Wonderful" West Virginia before moving to North Carolina to receive my bachelors in Chemistry from Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!). During this time, I worked as an EMT fostering an early interest in mental health -- often engaging with individuals at a time of crisis and highest emotional need.

After returning to my home state to obtain a Medical Doctorate at Marshall University School of Medicine, my passion for psychiatric care was deepened by aiding the community of Huntington, WV during the height of the opioid epidemic.

When it came time to specialize, I felt privileged to join the University of Colorado residency training program where I served as Chief Resident of Outpatient Psychiatry. Given an enthusiasm for therapy, I was selected as a Psychotherapy Scholar to receive additional education and supervision in various psychotherapeutic techniques and theories.
Following the completion of my residency, I have elected to continue the life long learning journey and joined the
Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis's Psychodynamic Training Program.

It has been a pleasure to call the Rocky Mountain State my new home (a home I had the great fortune to explore on foot via the Colorado Trail!). In our work together, you will find that I frequently draw on the diversity of my personal and professional experiences; however, your trailhead starts with you, and I look forward to navigating that personal journey towards your mountain top moments.
